Social Transformation

In Nepal,  it is estimated that 10,000 to 15,000 Nepali women and girls are trafficked to India annually, while 7,500 children are trafficked domestically for commercial sexual exploitation.  Through this non-profit, we advocate for individuals, promote awareness of human rights issues, and give training about health, parenting and life skills. We also provide scholarships for at-risk youth, and counseling for abuse, trafficking and trauma victims. A safe home has been established for women and families struggling with being widowed, transitioning out of abusive or vulnerable situations.

We are the non profit wing of Higher Ground Nepal for bringing transformative change in the lives of the people. We are in the process of creating an environment where vulnerable people have the opportunity to protect themselves by increased resilience and awareness where they are not only protected from trafficking, exploitation and abuse situations but also become changemakers in empowering other women to live a dignified life.
