Protection and Care

The main aim of our Protection and Care program is to provide support to women who are in need of immediate shelter due to being victims or are at risk of being exploited by violence, abuse, sexual harassment, modern day slavery, and human trafficking. In addition to providing their basic needs (shelter, food, clothing, sanitary and hygiene kit), HGCDN also partners with mental health professionals to help residents process their trauma and move them towards a healing journey of psychological well-being. The organization also focuses on empowering them by providing formal and non-formal education, legal help, medical assistance, skills development, job placement, and family tracing for reintegration into their own community provided that their families are not the ones victimizing them.
